It has been known to pose

for candid images on the red ceremonial carpet.

Standing in the flash of cameras,

this is a star of old movies and dramas.

 

It is fair to say that the photographer works in hurries,

managing gear, flash and multiple batteries.

The glamour gala is launched,

and it won't be long before the famous birdie is called.

This is a lovely Alessandro Sparrow!

The cheerful bird, full of life and song,

whose melodious chirps and trills

are a delight to the ear.

 

The fans and audience are pleased

with every moment that is cherished.

They all have ready fountain pens,

and they are standing near the front of line.

With sentimental “oohs” and “aahs,”

ready to have the autographs.

But after a minute or two,

after all the images were made,

Alessandro posed even more, and then

slowly disappeared behind the curtain.
