What Stays

Something softer arrived after the folky piece. Just a quiet moment, and a sketch.

A pencil sketch of a shell like shape filled with flowing patterns, loops, and curves, drawn on lined notebook paper using imagination.

A quiet pencil sketch, its patterns echoing those small drawings we used to make in notebooks.

Sometimes I notice how certain moments settle differently than I expect. They don’t announce themselves or try to be meaningful. They just sit there, part of the day, and I realise I’m paying attention without knowing why.

When ideas slip away, what stays is small:
a scent,
a colour,
a texture,
a fragment of memory,
a sentence shaped like fog,
a sentence shaped like light.

These pieces arrive without effort, the way a quiet detail in the room suddenly becomes the thing I’m aware of. They don’t lead anywhere. They simply stay long enough to be recognised.

Sometimes it’s just this — a shell‑like shape drawn in pencil, filled with flowing patterns and quiet echoes of old margins. A fragment of pattern. A fragment of memory. And it sits there, steady, without asking for anything more.

Thank you for visiting my quiet corner of the internet.
