A small story, a daily noticing from a day that felt like a quiet breath.
We walked to the fields to see the horses, grazing in the nearby fields and in the late sunshine. The farmer had let them wander freely, and we stood there for a while, watching their calm rhythm, even reached out to touch their soft coats. My children told me they needed this — a little space to breathe, to rest, to be together without hurry.
On the way home, we heard a grasshopper played its song like
a tiny instrument. My daughter said they scare her, so later I made a quick sketch,
hoping to show her the gentleness I see in them, the small beauty tucked inside,
the way even small creatures can surprise us.

A small moment of calm and joy, a quiet breath with my
children — one of those tiny noticing that shape our days.
A drawer of memory, quietly opened — a moment with my
children I want to keep.
