Bright,
quiet, nostalgic, or foggy — Write !
Not
right?
Might
come to the light,
It
is not a flying kite,
it
can make me feel like fight,
but,
I
will make a bite of words,
in
the dark, long night
The world is asleep -
imagination is awake.
I sit down, and the duel
begins.
It’s the moment when you’re
full of ideas, but the page becomes a battlefield of tiny word bites.
Midnight arrives like a badly
behaved cat — knocking over my ideas just for fun.
At midnight, the words sharpen
their little teeth and wait for me.
But slowly, magically, the sentence forms.
The letters curl up like sleepy kitten, the punctuation snores, and the last stubborn adjective finally agrees to behave.
“A sentence tried to escape me tonight, but I caught it by the tail”
Close my notebook, victorious.
Midnight smiles. The duel is
over — until tomorrow.
