Nature Note from a Walk

It’s hot today. Near the park I was walking past, I had a charming encounter with some tiny creatures. This morning I spotted a grasshopper, a ladybug, and some spiders. I tried to follow the grasshopper, but it was fast and hopped off into the tall grass somewhere. For a moment, I was trying to hold a red ladybug with seven black spots in my hand, and when it eventually flew away, I made a secret wish in my heart.

Nature Notes – Journal of a Walk

I went to the park for a walk. I noticed two blue dragonflies circling around. They looked like little dancers in the sunlight. I couldn't take my eyes off the way they circled together, their wings shimmering in the sun.

From a Diary - Nature Notes from a Walk

We were walking around the neighbourhood, looking for a plant called Shepherd’s Purse near the flower beds in my town, because my friend’s daughter has a summer assignment to collect this plant for her herbarium. It looks so magical, but some people call it a weed. We weren’t able to find any shepherd’s purse today, which is a shame. Instead, we found some small flowers, and we’re going to make a dried flower collage out of them.
